Supporting your choices with care and clarity

End-of-Life Doula, care of Sameal.

Profile Picture.jpg

Hello, I'm Sameal!

For many years, I have been involved in my community, offering support and care to those in need.

Having experienced firsthand the challenges and emotions that come with losing a loved one, I gained a deep appreciation for the importance of every role in the end-of-life journey.

Becoming a funeral director was a natural and meaningful step, allowing me to guide families through one of life’s most difficult moments.

However, I felt there was still more I could offer—more ways to provide comfort, understanding, and presence. This desire to support others more holistically led me to become an End-of-Life Doula.

Services List

I offer compassionate guidance to help you prepare important end-of-life documents, ensuring your wishes are clearly understood and respected. This includes support with completing your Enduring Power of Attorney, Enduring Power of Guardianship, Advance Health Care Directive, and funeral pre-planning. Together, we’ll navigate each step so you can make informed decisions with confidence, giving you and your loved ones peace of mind for the future.

Free 30 Minute Consult

I offer a free 30-minute consultation where we’ll explore what led you to reach out. This is a gentle, no-obligation conversation to help us understand your needs and see if my service is the right fit for you.

Before moving forward, we’ll make sure that working together supports your wishes and those of anyone else involved in your end-of-life planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Providing answers to frequently asked questions related to End-Of-Life Doulas.

An End-of-Life Doula (also called a death doula or death midwife) is a trained professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and their families during the dying process. Their role is non-medical and complements the care given by hospice, palliative care teams, and medical professionals.

What End-of-Life Doula is not?

An End-of-Life Doula does not handle daily caregiving tasks such as bathing, shopping, transportation to appointments, or meal preparation—services typically provided by a carer.

Working with an end-of-life doula is a deeply personal choice, and it’s about finding someone you feel comfortable with and trust. If you value having a compassionate guide who can help you explore your wishes, provide practical support, and be present with you and your loved ones during this time, a doula may be a good fit. Most doulas, including myself, offer an initial consultation — often free — where we can talk about your needs, answer your questions, and see if our support feels right for you before making any decisions.

No, these documents are not legally required. However, creating them gives you an important opportunity to record your wishes while you are able to do so. This means that if there ever comes a time when you cannot speak for yourself, those caring for you won’t be left guessing. Your plans will already be in place, providing them with clarity, comfort, and confidence in honouring your choices.

I provide a range of supportive services designed to help you and your loved ones navigate the end-of-life journey with clarity and peace of mind. This includes assistance with preparing essential end-of-life documents, such as Advance Health Care Directives, Enduring Power of Attorney, and Enduring Power of Guardianship all ready for witnessing. I can also guide you through pre-planning your funeral.

Beyond the practical aspects, I offer holistic support tailored to your needs, including self-care tools like essential oils, creative therapies, recommended resources, or simply being a calm, supportive presence.

My goal is to provide guidance and comfort, helping you feel informed, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.
